Earl E. Stump, Sr., age 82, of Minerva, lost his battle with cancer July 27, 2012. He was born Dec. 11, 1929 in Homeworth, the son of Harry and Mamie (Powell) Stump. He was a 1948 graduate of Minerva High School, retired from Alliance Machine with 38 yrs. service, was a member of the Minerva First Christian Church, a US Army Veteran of the 28th Infantry. Earl was a lifetime member of Minerva VFW #4120, member of FOE Aerie #2199 and the Archaeological Society of Ohio.

Earl married Mae (Wolf) Stump on Nov. 7, 1953. They have 3 children: daughter, Tracey Lynn (Jim) Patterson of Minerva and grandsons, Jerame and Jarrod; great grandsons; Jayden, Jaykub, Colton Earl; son, Earl E., Jr of the home; daughter, Kaela Lee (Jerry) Augustein of Malvern and granddaughter, Trisha Mae (Rich) Ferrell; great grandson, Blake Allen; great granddaughter, Thea Marie; grandson, Matt Augustein.

Earl has 2 brothers; Dale (Judy) Stump and Harold Stump(d). Earl's "southern family", Frankie (Sandy) Whetstone of Branchville, SC; their daughter, Carrie (Todd) Johnson, and grandson, Justen; 2nd daughter, Stacie (David) Keitt of NC, and grandson, Hayden.

There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in Earl's name to a charity of donor's choice.
