Duane Michael "Bubby" Shook Jr.

Age 19, of Minerva, died Sunday, April 30, 2017 form injuries sustained in an auto accident. He was born Jan. 26, 1998 in Akron.  He was working a GoJo Industries in Akron and was a former employee of Used 2 B New in Canton. He graduated from Minerva High School in 2016. He loved cars and playing video games.  He was a great big brother and loved picking on his siblings.  He was a friend to everyone and was known for his big smile.

He is survived by his mom and stepfather, Brandy and Joseph Pierce of North Canton and his dad and stepmother, Duane and Victoria Shook of Minerva, paternal grandparents, Debbie Durst of Barberton, stepmaternal grandparents, Alberta Albright of Cuyahoga Falls, Michelle Frame of Dalton, paternal great grandmother, Luella Huston of Barberton and stepgreat grandmother, Josephine Stecz of Medina, 2 sisters, Lillian and Makayla Shook of Minerva, brother, Dominick Shook of N. Canton and 2 stepbrothers, Zack Jarvis of Hudson and Kyle Pierce of N. Canton, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and more friends than you can count. He is preceded in death by Maternal Grandparents, Charles D. and Pamela A. Lawson, Paternal Grandfather, Henrey Durst, and a cousin, Winter S. Shook.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held Wednesday at 7:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva. Calling hours will be 2 hours prior to services from 5-7 pm.  Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com .
