Dorothy I. Unkefer, age 80, of Minerva, died Wednesday, July 17, 2013 surrounded by her family in Minerva Eldercare. She was born Nov. 10, 1932 in Louisville to Harold and Irene (Lautzenheiser) Kauth. She was a housewife and enjoyed traveling, crocheting and playing in her card club. She was a member of the Malvern United Methodist Church,member of the United Methodist Women and was a driver for Minerva Community Meals.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Unkefer who died Dec. 4, 1998; and a brother, Richard Kauth.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Kay (George) Oyer of Kensington, Darlene (Mark) Galpin of Alliance; a son, Donald (Laura) Unkefer, Sr.; a brother, Kenneth (Jean) Kauth of Louisville; 6 grandchildren, Rachel Curry, Don Unkefer, Jr., Nathan and Matthew Galpin, and Kathy and Troy Oyer; 3 great grandchildren, Jayden, Skye and Jacob.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Allen Hill officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.
