Dorothy Sears
Age 92, of Alliance, died Thursday, August 07, 2014 in Altercare of Alliance following an extended illness. She was born Sept. 23, 1921 in Bayard, OH to William Smithberger and Olive Walters. She was a housewife and loved spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Sears who died in 1985; and a brother Roy Walters.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Iva (Michael) Ray of Bayard, Clara (Greg) Barker of Alliance; 3 sons, Steven (Ruby) Sears of Alliance, James (Sharon) Sears of Alliance, Donald Sears of Columbus; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday at 1:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating. Burial will be in Moultrie Chapel Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday one hour prior to services.
