Dorothy M. Kosko
Age 81, of Summitville, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014 in Canterbury Villa in Alliance. She was born Aug. 8, 1932 in Mingo Junction to John and Mary (Tokar) Ocel. She was co-owner of Kosko Farm Equipment for 36 years with her husband and had been a realtor for Stafford Realty in Minerva. She is a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Summitville where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and was a 1951 graduate of Carrollton High School.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, John Kosko whom she married April 11, 1953, 2 daughters, Sharon (Bernie) Jakubowski of Minerva and Pam (John) Nedelk of Massillon, a brother, John (Elnora) Ocel of Mechanicstown, 6 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Kosko, 4 sisters, Annie McKleaster, Pauline Mazzoni, Mary Bludis and Helen Brown and 2 brothers, Joe and Andy Ocel.
A Mass of the Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10:00 am in St. John's Catholic Church in Summitville with Fr. James Lang as celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday 4-8 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Alliance Visiting Nurse and Hospice.
