Dorothy H. Knight
Age 84, of Minerva, died Thursday, Aug., 14, 2014 in the Great Trail Care Center surrounded by her loved ones. She was born Jan. 14, 1930 in Pikeville, KY to Lacy and Euka (Blackburn) Burchett. She was a housewife and member of the Minerva First Christian Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Knight Sr., who died in 2000, son, Gary Knight I, 3 sisters, Jean Lewis, Lydia Battaglia and Thelma Rigsby, 3 brothers, Hassel, Clyde and Tracy Burchett, and a great grandson, Gage Knight.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Jeanie (Tim) Henson of Minerva and Bonnie (Mel) Marsh of Alliance, son, James (Rita) Knight Jr. of Tallahassee, FL, brother, Larry Ronald (Geraldine) Burchett of Minerva, 9 grandchildren, Gary Knight II, Nicole Knight (Max Szulya), Brent Knight, Jeremy (Danielle) Wilks, Frankki (Jeremy) Waechter, Gerri (Steve) Barnes, Jennifer Wilks, Kevin Keller and Cody (Brooke) Keller, 13 great grandchildren, Michael, Samantha, Madison, Grant, Grace, and Kyrah Knight, Savannah Wilks, David and Emily Knox, Caleb Wilks, Kevin Ramsey, Alexia Dodgen and Gavin Wilks, 3 great great grandchildren, Brayden, Aden and Alli Knight, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday at 1:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Pastor Chet Howes officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday 6-9 pm at the funeral home.
