Doris M. Truex
Age 82, of Minerva, died Fri., Jan. 10, 2014 in Coudersport, PA. She was born May 3, 1931 in Crab Orchard, KY to the late Samuel and Mable (Reynolds) Parsons. She was a homemaker and graduate of Wayne High School. She is a member of the Bayard United Methodist Church where she was very active of the Kitchen Committee and member of the United Methodist Women.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clair Truex, Jr. who died in 1991 and her son, Terry Truex who died in 2012. She is survived by a daughter, Vicky (Donald) Moon of Coudersport, PA; daughter-in-law, Helen Truex of Minerva; 2 brothers, Glenn (Alma) Parsons of Canton and Eugene (Loraine) Parsons of Bloomingdale; 3 grandchildren, Travis (Terri) Truex of Minerva, Chad (Angela) Waseman of Bethe Park, PA and Jeremy (Kelly) Waseman of Coudersport, PA and 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Scott Williams officiating. Burial will be in Heritage Memorial Gardens. Calling hours will be Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bayard United Methodist Church.
