Doris M. Bettis, Age 89, of Minerva, died Tuesday, January 12, 2016 in her home. She was born June 30, 1926 in Wellsville to Ernie and Ida (Smith) Edmunson. She retired from TRW Metals in Minerva and is a member of the Minerva United Methodist Church.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Kendra Bettis of Minerva, Kathy (Tim) Hertel of Minerva, son, Terry Bettis of FL, brother, Ernie (Loretta) Edmunson of FL, 4 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Bettis, 2 sons, Richard Bettis, Edwin Bettis and a daughter in law, Janice Bettis, 3 sisters, Peg Rice, Ernestine Mayfield, Pat Poynter and 2 brothers, Charles and Keith Edmunson and grandson, Lee Bettis.

Funeral services will be Friday at 12 noon in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Harley Wheeler officiating. Burial will be in Highlandtown Cemetery. Calling hours will be one hour prior to services. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses or the Minerva United Methodist Church or Alliance Hospice.
