Donzil R. Tanner Sr.

Age 58, of Massillon, went home to be with his Lord of Friday, June 29, 2018 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born May 5, 1960 in Massillon to the late Haymond and Stella (Sampson) Tanner Sr. He worked for 23 years for North American Rolling Door in Dalton. He was an avid hunter and UNO player and enjoyed reading his Bible and spending time with family, especially with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Annette (Cooper) Tanner whom he married May 19, 1982; daughter, Danee (Steven) Horvath of Massillon; son, Donzil (Montana) Tanner of Louisville; 2 sisters, Delores (Noble) Curtis, Rosalie Abbott; 9 grandchildren; Justice, Camryn, Ethen, Steven, Peyton, Makayla, Liam, Raya and Kennadie.

Funeral services will be Monday at 12 noon in the Canton Baptist Temple with Pastor Greg Cooper officiating.  Burial will be in Brookfield Cemetery in Massillon. Calling hours will be two hours prior to services at the church from 10am to 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses c/o the Benevolent Fund for Donzil Tanner at First Commonwealth Bank.
