Donzell E. Messenger, age 71, of Malvern, died Tues., Nov. 5, 2013. He was born Feb. 12, 1942 in Jane Lew, WV to Russell and Elizabeth (Matthew) Messenger. He was a farmer and retired truck driver and graduate of Unitas High School. He was a fireman for the Augusta Fire Dept. for 21 years and an avid hunter.

He is survived by his wife, Diane (Hole) Messenger whom he would have celebrated their 38 year anniversary on Nov. 12; 3 daughters,Denise (Doug) Everhart of Salineville, Carol (Brian) Welton of Salem and Charlotte Messenger of Hermitage, TN; son, David (Lynn) Messenger of Carrollton; sister, Josephine "Kay" (Rockie) Gibson of Goodhope, WV; brother, Wilson (Esther) Messenger of Clarksburg, WV; and 9 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 6:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home with Tim Prince officiating with cremation to follow. Calling hours will be Sunday 3-6pm prior to services. Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
