Donna J. Grimes

Age 87, of Minerva, died Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the Canton Christian Home. She was born in Moultrie, to Lloyd and Elizabeth (Taylor) Crowl. She was the treasurer for Minerva Local Schools for 20 years. She was a member of the Minerva First Christian Church and a member of U & I Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Minerva Red Cross, Minerva Garden Club, East Rochester Garden Club, Minerva Women's Club, AARP, helped cook at Minerva Community Meals, and was the former secretary of the Timken Retirees club.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Grimes whom she married June 10, 1954; 2 daughters, Chere (Luis) Torres of Nazareno, Mexico, Carolyn (Austin) Ball of Cincinnati, OH; a son, Chris (Malia) Grimes of Highpoint, NC; a sister, Doris Richardson of Zepher Hills, FL; four grandchildren, Eva Torres, Josh (Julie) Torres, Michelle Ball, and Susi Torres; a special niece, Melody (Bill) Fisher and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a brother, Delmar Crowl.

Funeral Services will be Monday at 11 in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home with Chaplain Ron Iwanusa officiating. Burial will be at the East Lawn Cemetery in Minerva. Calling hours will be Saturday 10-12 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Minerva Community Meals.
