Donald L. Augustein

Age 89, of Minerva, died February 5, 2020 at Rose Lane Nursing and Rehabilitation in Massillon. He was born March 8, 1930 in Canton to Louis and Florence (Conrad) Augustein. He served in the US Army during the Korean War.  He worked at TRW and retired from Burns Cold Forge (Masco Tech) after 22 years of service. Following retirement, he worked for many years at True Value Hardware.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby F. (Stevenson) Augustein, who he married Dec. 1, 1953; a daughter, Darlene (Clay) Evans of Minerva, 2 sons, Robert (Virginia) Augustein of Minerva, Jerry (Kaela) Augustein of Malvern; 6 grandchildren, Angel (Craig) Wisenberg, Nicole (Joe) Graham, Melissa Wilks and husband, David (Sarah) Evans, Trisha (Rich) Ferrell, Matthew Augustein; 8 great-grandchildren, Summer & Chase Wisenberg, Kathryn & Evan Graham, Liam & Tanner Wilks, Blake and Thea Ferrell.

Private Funeral Services were held at the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home with Chaplain Larry Karlen Officiating. Burial was in Heritage Memorial Gardens in Minerva.
