Donald R. Abbott,age 73, of Mechanicstown, died Wed., July 3rd, 2013 in Aultman Hospital. He was born Dec. 10, 1939 in Marianna, PA to John and Janet (Hines) Abbott. He retired from PCC Airfoils in Minerva where he had worked for over 30 years and is a US Air Force Veteran.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Jacklyn (Ross) Abbott; son, Donald R. Abbott Jr.; sister, Violet Abbott and a son-in-law, Eugene Metzner. He is survived by 3 daughters, Ginger Metzner of Smock, PA, Rosemary (Harold) Seto of Uniontown, PA and Charlene Ross-Sannin of Mechanicstown; 3 sisters, Martha Fleming of Minerva, Emma Davis of Waynesburg, PA and Linda (Larry) Seabold of Jacksonville, FL; 2 brothers, Charles and John (Linda) Abbott both of Magnolia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Alan and Sharon Ross of Massillon and Ruth Yates of Fishkill, NY; 7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Smith officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Augusta Cemetery.
