Donald Draher

Age 73 of Minerva, died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011 in Mercy Medical Center. He was born April 6, 1938 in Minerva to Alvertin and Laura (Nichols) Draher. He retired from General Color and Chemical in Minerva where he was a lab tech. He also had worked as a Foreman at TRW in Minerva and Warren Molded Plastics. He is a US Army Veteran and member of the George Whetstone VFW Post #4120.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Karen (Ruff) Draher whom he married June 24, 1961; two daughters, Kelli Bennett of Minerva and Marci (George) Morris, Jr. of Canton South; sister, Mary Kate (Earl) Gardner of Minerva; two brothers, William (Peg) Draher of Augusta and John Draher of Minerva; 5 grandchildren; Jacob, Chelsie, Saydie, Kennedy and Kaleb, and his favorite pets, Sassy and Jasper.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held Sat. at 2:00 pm in the chapel at East Lawn Cemetery with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating. Calling hours will be held Friday 7-9 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva. Memorial contributions may be made to the Great Trail Care Center Activity Fund.
