Deward "Woody" Woods

Age 79, of Minerva, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2024 in the Arbors of Minerva. He was born in Morgantown, WV to Charles and Freda (Vannoy) Woods.  He retired from Republic Steel after over 30 years of service and later worked for many different area auctioneers.  He is a long time and devoted member of the Great Trail Community Church of God in Minerva and was a member of the US Army National Guard.

He is survived by his wife, Judy A. (Davis) Woods whom he married in 1999, son, Matthew Woods of Massillon, 2 stepdaughters, Wendy (Blaine) Lewis of Alliance, Jill (Dwayne) Snyder of Urbana, 3 sisters, Oma Leeson, Nancy Huff, Terrie Gearheart,  brother, Charles "Sonny" Woods, 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 16 nephews and 8 nieces.  He is preceded in death by his first wife Barbara J. Woods, son, Michael Woods, a sister, Fay Rose and a brother, Donald Glovas.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, July 28th at 12:30 pm in the Great Trail Community Church of God with a luncheon served.  Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
