Dennis M. Amelung

Age 69, of Malvern, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021. He was born Feb. 13, 1952 in Alliance, to Leonard and Dorothy (Wallace) Amelung. He was the owner and operator of Denny's Auto Body for many years and had also worked for AWP Area Wide Protection. He is a member of the Malvern First Christian Church and he graduated from Carrollton High School in 1972. Denny was a hardworking, committed and thoughtful man. He showed his love to others by is acts of service. From building ice skating rinks in the driveway, fixing all things broken, making Christmas Wreaths all year and showing up whenever anyone needed a helping hand. He is greatly loved and will be missed by many.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn (Cinson) (Gotchall) Amelung whom he married July 21, 2001, children; Jennifer (Ben) Black of Hanoverton, Stephanie (Jeff) Shingleton of Mebane, NC, Jessica Boylan of Strasburg, Isaac (Nicole) Gotchall of Canton, sister, Carol Shaw of WV, 6 grandchildren; Shane Black, Hunter and Travis Shingleton, Maty, Mya and Layton Boylan. He is preceded in death by a sister, Deloris Brown and 3 brothers, Sonny, Bob, and David Amelung.

Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 pm in the Malvern First Christian Church with Ben Black officiating.
