Dawn Ann Carosielli

86, of Waynesburg, passed away peacefully Monday, September 21, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family. 

Dawn was a woman whose heart seemed to have room for everyone. She loved deeply, gave freely, and never needed a reason to call someone family. She was the kind of grandmother who would gladly adopt anyone who came into her life, making them feel loved and welcomed as one of her own. 

Dawn is survived by her daughter, Margaret; her grandchildren, Tiffany (Shawn), Amy (Greg), Jeremy, Nikki (Lexi), and Troy (Emily); and her great-grandchildren, Stormie(Stephen) and Kacyn, and future great-great granddaughter along with the many “grandkids” she gathered along the way and loved as her own. 

One of the stories that perfectly captures Dawn’s heart was when someone once asked her how many grandchildren she had. She laughed and said she had lost count—because, in her eyes, they were all her grandkids. Dawn never believed family had to be defined by blood. If she loved you, you were family. 

She spent many happy days creating competition outfits for her grandchildren and their friends, putting her time, creativity, and love into every piece she made. She also enjoyed crocheting, working on plastic canvas projects, and doing puzzles. These simple things brought her joy, especially when she could share them with the people she loved. 

Dawn especially loved visiting Mohican when the leaves were changing. The beauty of the season, the changing colors, and the time spent with family created memories that will remain with those who loved her. 

She will be remembered not only for the things she made with her hands, but for the love she put into everything she did. Her greatest gift was making people feel that they mattered. Her family will carry her love, her memories, and the warmth she brought into their lives for years to come. 

Dawn was preceded in death by her parents, Daisy and Elwood; her brothers, Jim, Ed, and Tommy; and her daughter, Michele. Though her place in this world is now empty, the family she created and the love she gave so freely will continue to carry her with them. Dawn’s memory will live on in every handmade creation, every family gathering, every changing autumn leaf at Mohican, and in the hearts of all the people she welcomed into her family.

The family would like to thank the staff of Aultman Hospice and especially, Michele for all of their kindness and wonderful care during Dawn’s illness.
