David L. Winrod

Age 81, of East Rochester, passed away Monday, Jan. 22, 2024.  He was born March 15, 1942 in Dennison to Merton and Florence (Haynam) Winrod.  He retired from Georgia Pacific in Canton and Akron where he had worked for 42 years.  He graduated from Minerva High School in 1962 and loved golfing, bowling and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Judy (Hein) Winrod whom he married Oct. 6, 1962, son, Brad Winrod of New Haven, MI, daughter, Lisa (Mike) Bowman of Minerva, 2 sisters, Betty Gross of East Rochester, Janet (Mark) Himes of Canton, 3 grandchildren, Chelsea (Matt) Winrod, Brock Bowman, Zach (McKenna) Bowman, and 2 great grandchildren, Aubree and Hudson.  He is preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Green.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Christine Ulman officiating.  Burial will be in Moultrie Chapel Cemetery.  Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
