David E. Srock
David E. Srock, 64, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2026, surrounded by his loving family following an unexpected medical issue.
David was born on December 26, 1961, to the late Eugene and Arlene Srock, of Wadsworth, Oh.
David was an independent business owner who took great pride in his work designing, building, and installing packaging equipment for major companies throughout the United States and around the world. His independence, creativity, and dedication were reflected in everything he did.
While David was accomplished in his career, his greatest joy was spending time with his family. He especially loved his children and the time they shared together. He is survived by his son, Garett Srock, his girlfriend, Kylie Becka, and her son, Bryson, and his daughter, Taylor Srock, all of Alliance. He is also survived by his son, Trevor Srock, and Trevor’s girlfriend, Brianna Good, who shared a home with David in Magnolia.
David was a man of faith and was consistent in reading his Bible daily, which gave him guidance, strength, and peace throughout his life.
David enjoyed spending time at his family’s cabin on Tabor Lake in Carrollton during the summer. These times were filled with family, relaxation, and cherished memories.
David also had a special place in his heart for his cats, who were a cherished part of his life.
David enjoyed gardening and enthusiastically growing peppers. He took great pleasure in turning his harvest into his own homemade spice rubs and making different types of jerky. His love of gardening, cooking, and creating something from what he grew was just one of the many things that made David uniquely himself.
He is survived by his brothers, Steven (Cindy) Srock of Green, and Daniel (Rebecca) Srock of Wadsworth; and his sister, Debra (James) White of Wadsworth. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will forever cherish their fond memories of their Uncle David.
David will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on through the people he loved, the memories they shared, and the many pieces of himself he left behind in the lives of those around him.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Quad Ambulance Services of Waynesburg, Ohio, as well as the nurses and physicians of the Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital Emergency Department and the entire ICU team of nurses and physicians for their compassionate care of David and his family.
A graveside memorial and viewing will be held on: Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in Lakewood Cemetery at 1080 W. Waterloo Rd. Akron, Ohio 44314. Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
