David Holbrook Sr.

Age 61, of Canton, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 13. 2024 in his home surrounded by his family.  He was born Aug. 10, 1963 in Canton to the late Charles and Loretta (Lewis) Holbrook.  He worked for the Gaspar Company in Canton for 35 years.  He loved the outdoors, riding dirt bikes, fishing and listening to good music.

He is survived by a son, David (Desiree) Holbrook Jr. of Canton, daughter, Amanda Shelby of Clarksville, TN, 2 brothers, Curtis Holbrook of Rockhill, SC, Donald (Gail) Holbrook of Massillon, 3 sisters, Deborah Holbrook of Bonita Springs, FL, Martha Cricks of Beavercreek, OH, Tina Seabolt of Canton, 15 grandchildren; Isis Prado, Jayden Holbrook, Ilaria Shelby, Cierra Holbrook, Staicy Holbrook, Amara Hawkins, Iyanna Shelby, Iverson Shelby, Ivalyn Shelby, Jimmy Parsons, Sara Pritt, Ariel Lester, Chastity Lester, Addilyn Newman, Lincoln Newman and a nephew, Wes Holbrook.  He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, William Bandy and a brother, Boyd Holbrook.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating.  Burial will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.  Calling hours will be Friday 6-8 pm at the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Saturday.  Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
