David "D.J." Small, Jr., age 25, of Carrollton, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2012 in Mercy Medical Center. He was born April 16, 1987 in Alliance to David and Sherry (Nitz) Small, Sr. with whom he resided. He worked for Transue and Williams in Alliance and most recently in Austintown. He graduated from Carrollton High School in 2005 and received an associate's degree in computer tech. at Kent State Stark.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by many aunts and uncles including; Linda (Ivan) Lanham of Carrollton, J.R. (Loretta) Nitz of Minerva, Sondra Bailey of Minerva, Steve Nitz of Dalton, Barb Baum of Alliance, Roger (Jean) Howard of Buckhannon, WV, Linda Howard of Buckhannon, WV, Janet Howard of French Creek, WV, Barb (Gary) Oaks of Carrollton, Lori (Lou) Marino of N. Canton and Jason (Laura) Small of Massillon, grandmother, Mary Witts of Carrollton, step grandmother, Mary Ford of Kensington and several cousins.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Dakota Small; grandparents, Verlin and Virgie Nitz, John Witts, great grandmother, Dorothy Hawkins, and aunts and uncles, Tina Libertore, John Howard, Dan Howard, Cedric Nitz and Earl Howard.

Funeral services will be Saturday Dec. 29th at 12 noon in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Mr. Ralph Norman officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery.
