David F. Bolton Sr.

age 85, of Alliance, died Friday, Oct. 8, 2021 surrounded by his family.  He was born March 3, 1936 in Akron to Frank and Evelyn (Williams) Bolton. He was a Postal Supervisor for the USPS in Akron, retiring after 37 years of service.  He is a US Army Veteran and a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church in Akron.  Dave was a wonderful man who leaves a nurturing and caring nature in all who survive him. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren with passion. He had a love for gardening and could grow a vegetable garden anywhere. His kindness showed no bounds. He donated to several charities throughout his life. He loved sports, and wouldn't miss watching the Browns, Buckeyes or the Indians to cheer them on.

He is survived by his wife, Carol (Venham) Bolton whom he married Nov. 19, 1971, 4 children, David (Teri) Bolton Jr. of Twinsburg, Larry Bolton of Louisville, Jimmy Bolton of Alliance, Troy (Linda) Bolton of Garrettsville, 11 grandchildren, Matthew, Amy, Andrea, Stacey, Danny, Shannon, Jamie, Kyle, Hayley, Madison, MaKenzie, 8 great grandchildren, Christian, Cadence, Gavin, Garrett, Claire, Jackson, Christian and Joshua.  He is preceded in death by 2 children, Kelly Miller, Michael Bolton and a great grandson, Alex.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 12 noon in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Chaplain Fred Rodriquez officiating.  Burial with full military honors will be in East Lawn Cemetery.  Calling hours will be one hour prior to services from 11am to noon at the funeral home.  Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com .
