David I. Ball

age 67, of Paris, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2025 in the Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton. He was born Dec. 3, 1957 in Canton to the late Ian and Marilyn (Greenwald) Ball. He was the owner of D. Ball Enterprises for over 40 years.  Dave was a civic minded individual, volunteering his time and energy for many local activities.  He was a volunteer Firemen and former Chief of the Robertsville Volunteer Fire Department and Emergency Medical Technician on the ambulance, volunteered with the Canton Red Cross, member of the former Canton Ski Club and called many square dances around the area for many years.

He is survived by a daughter, Michaela (Kerushan) Moodley of Salem, son, Garrett Ball of Beloit, sister, Terrie Ball of Canton, brother, Mark (Laura) Ball of Paris, Neice., Deidra (Simeon) Ford, Nephew, Scott (Cheryl) Ball, and 5 grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held Friday evening from 5-7 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva followed by the Stark County Fire Fighters Association Last Alarm Service at 7:00 pm.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Canton Red Cross.  Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
