Darla S. Norton

Age 76, of East Rochester, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024, in the Select Specialty Hospital in Aultman Hospital.  She was born Feb. 16, 1948, in PA to Paul and Ruth Capone.  She was a housewife and member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Lawrence Norton, Jr. who died in 2019.  She is survived by a daughter, Michelle "Missi" (Mel) Groom of East Rochester; 2 sons, Kristopher Norton of Minerva, Larry Norton of Minerva; 4 sisters, Daria (Lee) Willison of Minerva, Shannon Ferguson of Waynesburg, Shelley (Dave) Speaker of Waynesburg, Kim (Charles) Clarke of Carrollton; brother, William "Biff" (Cecilia) Capone of Carrollton; 5 grandchildren, Michael Groom, Chadd, Tyler, Taylor and Hannah Norton; and 2 great grandchildren, Weston and Oakley.

Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Fr. Victor Cinson officiating.  Calling hours will be one hour prior to services from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
