Daniel D. Travis

Age 64, of Canton, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2021 in Aultman Hospital.  He was born June 12, 1957 in Canton to the late Kermit and Lois (Williams) Travis Jr. He is a bus driver for Plain Local Schools and previously drove for St. Thomas Aquinas School.  He is a member of the Alliance Church of Christ and a graduate of Minerva High School.  He loved area sports and rooting for the Buckeye's and the Brown's.

He is survived by his wife, Darletta (Young) Travis whom he married Oct. 21, 2017, daughter, Leslie Lydic of Akron, 2 stepdaughters, Tara (Troy) Upton of Uniontown, Teresa Reed of Louisville, stepson, T. J. Myers of Canton, sister, Kimberly (Tim) Catlett of Minerva, 3 grandchildren, Trey and Tia Upton and Codey Reed and his fur baby, Oliver. He is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Paulette Wilson and Vickie Travis.

Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Joe Faust officiating.  Burial will be in Moultrie Chapel Cemetery.  Calling hours will be Sunday 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alliance Church of Christ.
