Daniel C. Kmatz, age 75, of Robertsville, died Thursday, January 17, 2013 in Mercy Medical Center. He was born June 4, 1937 in Bergholz, OH to Joseph and Bonita (Pickins) Kmatz, Jr. He retired from Republic Technologies CCI after 40 years of service and was a graduate of Springfield High School.

He is survived by his wife Beverly (McLaughlin) Kmatz whom he married Feb. 16, 1957; 2 daughters, Rhonda Mayo of Orrville, Kay Kmatz of Robertsville; 2 sons, Ray (Jane) Kmatz of Louisville, Lee Kmatz of Minerva; a sister, Mary (Charles) Henry of Irondale; 2 brothers, Patrick (Susie Wright) Kmatz of Amsterdam, Walter "Ike" (Janie) Kmatz of Bergholz; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by a sister, Rosie Verboski; 2 brothers, Joseph and John Kmatz.

Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Pastor Karin Himstedt officiating. Burial will be in Heritage Memorial Gardens.
