Daniel P. Cruise

Age 36, of Minerva, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020 from injuries sustained in an auto accident. He was born March 30, 1984 in Ravenna to John and Zoanne (Zalosnik) Knight of East Canton. He was a Carpenter by trade and loved working with wood.  He loved the outdoors and loved sports, fishing and kayaking and especially hunting for arrowheads.  He graduated from Malvern High School in 2002.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Lindsey (McDaniel) Cruise whom he married Sept. 8, 2007, daughter, Lyvia Cruise, 2 sons, Liam and Luke Cruise, 3 sisters, Heather (Mark) Batson of Canton, Mary Ann Hein of Iowa, Angela Cruise of Malvern, 2 brothers, Jimmy Cruise of Malvern, Josh Cruise of Youngstown.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 12 noon in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Tim Beck and Lynn Warner officiating. Burial will be in Moultrie Chapel Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 hours prior to services from 10-12 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
