Daniel L. Ackerman

Age 72, of Minerva, passed away Monday, Nov. 18, 2024 in his home surrounded by his family.  He was born April 23, 1952 in Canton to Andrew and Agnes (Crowl) Ackerman. He had worked in the Oil Fields for many years and also the East Canton Brickyard and for West Twp.  He is a member of the New Vine Baptist Church in Malvern.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Kelly (James) Goodwin of Minerva, Kasie Wilks of Alliance, son, Jason (Cristina) Ackerman of Carrollton, life long companion, Glenda Hudson, brother, Robert Ackerman of Malvern, 7 grandsons; Tavin Knipl, Tyler Shirley, Logan Ackerman, Jaiden Koontz, James Goodwin Jr., Jacob Wilks, Dalton Ackerman and 3 granddaughters, Maci and Kaileen Ackerman and Brittany Wilks and 2 great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by a daughter, Tiffany Bandy, son, Daniel Ackerman, 2 sisters, Kay Proctor, JoAnne Ackerman and 2 brothers, Walter and William Ackerman.

Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Pastor Steve Gilreath officiating.  Burial will be in Quaker Church Cemetery.  Calling hours will be Thursday 6-8 pm at the funeral home.  Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com
