Dale C. McLean

Age 85, of Malvern, passed peacefully, Friday, Aug. 6, 2021 at the Carroll Golden Age Retreat.  He was born Jan. 3, 1936 in Carrollton to June and Elva (Lucas) McLean.  He retired from Superior Dairy where he worked for 37 ½ years, 7 years as Supervisor.  He was a Brown Twp. Trustee for 16 years, member of the Malvern Aux. Police Dept. for 3 years, is a US Army Veteran and served in the reserves for 8 years, and Volunteered at the Malvern Christian Care Center for over 20 years.

He is survived by a son, Michael (Lori) McLean of Massillon, daughter, Malinda (Shaun) McCloskey of Powell, 6 grandchildren, Ian and Emma McLean, Cameron and Kiera McCloskey, Kayla and Chance Terrill, 3 great grandchildren, Graysen, Eden and Cayden, brother, Ed McLean and several nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Verna (Schafer) McLean who died in 2018, 3 brothers, Jesse, Bob and Russ McLean, 2 sisters, Ermine Waidman and Mary McLean.

A Mass of the Christian Burial will be Saturday, Aug. 21 ^st at 11:00 am in St. Francis Catholic Church in Malvern with Fr. Victor Cinson as celebrant.  Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery.  Calling hours will be one hour prior to services at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Carroll Golden Age Retreat or Community Hospice.
