Cora "Betty" Palmer, age 92, of Minerva, died Wed., April 13, 2011 in Mercy Medical Center. She was born June 25, 1918 in Minerva to Clay and Bertha (Walter) Snook. She retired from Minerva Local Schools where she had worked in the cafeteria for 19 years. She is a member of the Minerva First Christian Church and the AARP chapter #1808. She graduated from Minerva High School in 1936 and the Canton Actual Business College.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin "Peck" Palmer who died in 1985 and a sister, Donna Powell. She is survived by three daughters, Lois (Harold) Heilman of Waco, Linda Sue Palmer of Minerva, and Lottie (Charles) Wagner of Massillon; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and one great -great grandson.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 18 ^th at 1 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Mr. Ralph Norman officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from noon to 1 pm prior to services on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Deaconess Pantry at the Minerva First Christian Church or the Minerva Area Salvation Army.
