Connie J. Morrison
Age 67, of Minerva, left this earth to join her loved ones on the other side late Thursday night, February 3, 2022 in the Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton. She was born Sept. 14, 1954 in Canton to the late David and Arlene (Stith) Starkey.
Connie shared her life with Clarence "Moe" Morrison for 40 years before he passed away in 2009 and they had one child, Shaun Morrison who passed away in 2008. Connie is also preceded in death by a sister, Denise Buehler. Connie is survived by her only grandchild, Austin D. Morrison of Minerva whom she considered her greatest blessing in life and she loved him more than anything. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Diana (Matthew) Leishman and a sister, Lisa (Ted) Blackburn, both of Minerva and several nieces and nephews as well.
Connie will always be remembered for her gift of gab, love of dancing, fiery personality, and her constant chatter about her grandson and how proud she was of him. Connie also had a great love for her daughter-in-law and people would often get tired of hearing her famous saying, "I would give her my last dollar". Though she will be missed greatly by all of us who love her, she will live on for years to come in our memories.
Following cremation, a graveside service will be held Thursday at 2:00 pm in the Robertsville Cemetery with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com .
