Age 74, of Minerva, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2024 in the Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton.  She was born May 28, 1950 in Franklin Twp Green Co., PA to James and Blanche (Stahl) Prendergast.  She was a housewife and retired from Regal Metal in Minerva.

She  is survived by her husband of 56 years, Kenneth Gandee whom she married July 2, 1968, daughter, Sheila (Greg) Marteney of Mechanicstown, 2 sons, Tony (Anna) Gandee of Minerva, Jayme (Cindy) Gandee of Penns Creek, PA, 3 sisters, Mary Lou (Dale) Buckman of Homeworth, Grace Hoyt of Minerva, Corita Prendergast of Minerva 3 brothers, Paul (Sharon) Prendergast of Bremen, IN, Eugene Prendergast of Minerva, Frank Prendergast of Minerva, sister-in-law, Shirley Prendergast of Minerva, 4 grandchildren; Chase (Gabrielle) Ruble, Carlee Marteney, Cody Marteney and Cailey Marteney and 3 great grandchildren, Ava, Owen and Carson Ruble. She was excited to welcome a great-granddaughter in early January 2025. She is preceded in death by twin sons, Jerry and Larry Gandee and a brother, Kenneth Prendergast.

Connie was such a hard worker, making a house a home for her husband and children. Connie's greatest blessing was her family, which she cared for with great devotion and affection. Always providing a loving home for all. She always listened with an open ear and a tender heart. She adored her grandchildren and great- grandchildren; she had great pride over each milestone and achievement in their lives. She enjoyed crafting beautiful things and cooking, Blessing many with her talents. She had a gift for making homecooked meals in the kitchen. It brought her great joy and pleasure to have her family gather. She always made sure each member of the family had their favorite dish. If she wasn't in the kitchen she was outside with her husband watching for hummingbirds and starlings. We will always carry great memories of her love of music and dancing, her incredible strength and spunk! She had a way of making you smile, she brought love and laughter to all. She treasured trips she took with her sisters and mom. Connie had a passionate spirit, truly "one of a kind", the very definition of true strength and unfailing, unconditional love and will be deeply missed by all.
