Clifford Lamoine (Lem) King

Age 92, of Minerva, died Wednesday, January 7, 2026. He was born July 18,1933 in Minerva Ohio to Harry and Elzanna King. Lem served in the National Guard and enjoyed going to the local Minerva VFW. Lem could be found at Edgewater golf course in Minerva during the summer months golfing with many friends and his sons. Lem also enjoyed bowling in numerous leagues during fall and winter. In 1997, Lem was inducted into the Greater Canton Bowling Association Hall of Fame where it was noted he had bowled a perfect score of 300 seven times and been on over 75 championship teams.  Lem retired after 50 years of work as a carpenter.

Lem's wife Wilma Jean King passed February 20, 2021. They were married in 1984.  Lem and Jean enjoyed traveling to Orlando Florida, spending time with family and organizing the annual family reunion in Minerva.

He is survived by his two sons Lamoine Jay (Julie) King of Louisville, Loren Ray King of Las Vegas, and his daughter Lucinda Mae (Ron) Phillips.  He has 5 grandchildren,  Kimberli (Tim) Eller, Brian (Terri) Phillips, Matthew Phillips, Andrew (Yvonne) Philipps and Elisabeth (Nathan) Merrill with 14 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren, Sister Darline Roudebush of Grand Junction Colorado,  stepdaughter Roxanne King of Minerva, and 5 stepsons Terrance (Lee Ann) King of Perrysville, Christopher (Nancy) King of Strasburg, Rory (Nancy) King of  Minerva, Derek King of Canton, Cordell (Kimberly) King of Centerberg. He is preceded in death by his brothers Wayne German, Doyle King, and sisters June Roudebush and Shelva Elefante, and stepson Michael King of Minerva.

Calling hours will be Sunday January 11 from 2-4 PM at Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva, Ohio.  A Graveside service will be held in the Chapel at Sunset Hills Burial Park on Monday January 12th at 11AM.
