Christian Wig

Age 72, of Salineville, died Thursday, April 21, 2022 in Aultman Hospital. He was born Dec. 12, 1949 in Cuyahoga Falls to the late Clifford and Dorothy (Hartman) Wig.  He was a folk musician, and passionate about Old-Time Appalachian fiddling.  Also had been a farmhand, insurance agent, square dance fiddler, fur trade era rendezvous musician and aficionado of the French and Indian War.  He was also a designer, craftsman and silversmith, having made jewelry with his longtime companion, Leslie.  He graduated from Glenwood High School in 1967 and received a Bachelor's Degree from Kent State University in 1975.

He is survived by his longtime companion, Leslie Heath, brother, Thomas (Pam) Wig, nephew, Christopher Wig and niece, Jenifer Wig.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
