Cheryl L. Vandegrift

Age 69, of Paris, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2026 in the Aultman Alliance Hospital. She was born August 17, 1956 in Canton to the late Franklin and Dorothy (Mills) Hosterman. She is the Corporate Office Manager for Grinders Above and Beyond, Pro Shine Car Wash and Car Nation Vac It Up. She graduated from Minerva High School in 1974. She is a member of the Apostolic Lighthouse Tabernacle in Massillon where she was the organist for over 40 years. She had a deep love for music and used her God-given talent to bless countless lives throughout the years. Beyond music, she found joy in art, cooking, baking, playing games, especially Euchre and Aggravation and teaching others the things she loved. She seemed to be a master of all trades, with a remarkable ability to do anything she set her mind to. Whether creating something beautiful, fixing a problem, or learning a new skill, she approached it with determination and excellence. She had a heart of gold and was happiest when serving those around her. Whether opening her home, preparing a meal, sharing a game around the table, or lending a helping hand, she lived to make others feel loved, welcomed, and cared for. Her kindness, generosity, and servant’s heart will be remembered by all those who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Vandegrift whom she married Nov. 11, 1978, 2 daughters, Elyse (Jared) Poling of Paris, MiKayla (Justin) Hutchinson of AZ, 3 brothers, Denny Hosterman of AZ, Doug (Debbie) Hosterman of Paris, Randy (Linda) Hosterman of CA and 3 grandchildren, Sawyer, Amelya and Rolando.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 14th at 7:00 p.m. in the Apostolic Lighthouse Tabernacle in Massillon with Pastor Nick Strange officiating. Calling hours will be 2 hours prior to services from 5:00 to 7:00 at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Apostolic Lighthouse Tabernacle for missions c/o
