Charlotte Smith
Charlotte Smith, age 98, of Minerva, died Wed,. Nov. 9th 2011 in Aultman Hospital.  She was born March 23, 1913 in East Rochester to Oren "Pete" and Florence (Gurney) Hawkins.  She had worked at the East Rochester Post Office and was an assembler for TRW in Minerva for 20 years.  She is a member of the Minerva First Christian Church and a 1931 graduate of Minerva High School.  She is a Past Worthy Matron and 78 year member of Carroll Chapter #315 Order of the Eastern Star.
She is preceded in death by her husband Dalmer L. Smith who died in 2003; a son-in-law, David Morgan and two brothers, Ronald and Allen Hawkins.  She is survived by a daughter, Janet Morgan of Minerva; two sons, Harold (Jeannette) Smith of Minerva and Joe (Carol) Smith of Volant, PA; six grandchildren, Kevin Smith of Minerva, Kurt (Betsy) Smith of Westerville, Bryan Smith of Volant, PA, Stephen (Tammy) Smith of New Bethlehem, PA, David Morgan Jr. and fiancée Linda Jones of Minerva and Theresa (Tim) Benzel of Augusta; and 15 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Mr. Ralph Norman officiating.  Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park in Beloit. Calling hours will be 2 hours prior to services from 11am to 1pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Minerva First Christian Church Home Dept.  The family would like to thank the staff of the Great Trail Care Center for all of their wonderful care.
