Charles J. Safron

Age 82, of Minerva, passed away Friday, Dec. 18, 2020 in Aultman Compassionate Care. He was born Dec. 11, 1938 to John and Mary (Ardelean) Safron. He owned and operated the Safron Insurance Agency in for over 40 years in Canton and Minerva.  He graduated from Canton South High School and the Illinois Institute of Technology with an insurance related degree.  He is a member of Trinity Lodge #710, F&AM, 32 degree, Scottish Rite, Valley of Canton. He was Chairman of the Minerva Board of Zoning Appeals for many years.

He is survived by his wife and best friend, Dinah (Brooks) and his daughter, Heather (Brian) Nau of Canton, 2 sons, Perry (Anita) and his granddaughters, Leah and Phoebe of Wake Forest, NC, and Geoff (Mandy) of Royal Oak, MI. He is also survived by his dear sister-in-law, Shelly Parr of Hartville and her children, Jake, Molly and Max and her grandchildren.

A Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date.
