Cathy Blitz

Age 58, of Jackson Twp., died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022 surrounded by her family.  She was born June 25, 1964 in Klamath Falls, OR to Marilyn (Arntz) Pickett of Burton and the late Charles Pickett. She retired from Minerva Local Schools where she had taught in the Elementary School for 32 years.  She graduated from Berkshire High School in 1982, received her Bachelor's in Education from Kent State in 1986 and her Master's in Education from Ashland University.  She is a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Canton and the church handbell choir.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Marc Blitz whom she married Dec. 30, 1988, daughter, Chelsea Blitz of Wooster, son, Evan Blitz of Jackson Twp, 2 brothers, Duane (Denise) Pickett of Mantua and John Pickett of Burton.

A Celebration of Life will be held December 3, 2022 at 11:00 am at Trinity United Church of Christ in Canton with Rev. Andrew Taylor-Peck officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or the charity of your choice.
