Catherine C. Minor

Age 71, of Carrollton, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025 in the Carroll Golden Age Retreat. She was born March 26, 1954 in Canton to the late Joseph and Lena (Clarico) DeMatteis.  She had worked for PCC Airfoils in Minerva and East Sparta Ceramics.  She graduated from Sandy Valley High School and loved to spend time with family and friends playing cards.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Tom Minor and her longtime companion, Tim Naus, son, and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Shelly Minor and a sister, Sandy McKinney. She is survived by a son, Rick Minor and companion, Jackie of Canton, 2 sisters, Sr. Bonita DeMatteis of Bakerstown, PA, Linda (Ernie) Beadnell of Malvern, 6 grandchildren; Chaise (Chris) Paul, Chalyse Minor, Kaitlin Wilson, Alexander Minor, Brian Minor and Toby Minor and 2 great grandchildren, Lorelei and Everleigh and she loved all her many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of the Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva with Fr. Victor Cinson as celebrant.  Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.  Calling hours will be one hour prior to services from 10-11 am at the church.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Carroll Golden Age Retreat Center.
