Carol M. Strait

Age 88, of Louisville and formerly Robertsville, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2026 in the Aultman Compassionate Care Center. She was born September 24, 1937 in East Canton to Roy and Ruth (Hane) Ritchey. She worked for the Paul Klotz Insurance Agency in Malvern for many years and at the Waynesburg Little Country Church where she was a member. She graduated from East Canton High School and she loved playing cards in the “girls card club.”

She is survive by her husband of 71 years, H. “Jerry” Strait whom she married January 21, 1955, daughter, Dawn (Mike) McQueen of Homeworth, 2 sons, Bruce (Sherry) Strait of Robertsville, Jerry (Patricia) Strait of Louisville, 2 sisters, Edith Irwin of East Canton, Linda Strait of Robertsville, 6 grandchildren; Jayme, Brandon (Krista), Aaron, Justin, Tyler, Taylor (Zach), Khyran and Penelope, 6 great grandchild, Kayden, Abby, Allison, Landon, Khyran and Penelope and 3 great great grandchildren, Waylen, Ivy and Eberly Rose. She is preceded in death by 5 sisters, Beverly Young, Helen Ritchey, Janet England, Charlene Harmon, Karen Erwin, a brother, Robert Ritchey and a great granddaughter, Kylee.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 24th at 6:00 pm in the Waynesburg Little Country Church with Zach Long officiating. Calling hours will be one hour prior to services from 5:00-6:00 pm at the church. Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
