Carol A. Schotts

Age 80, of Minerva, passed away Thursday, Feb. 8, 2024 in Aultman Hospital. She was born May 15, 1943 in Canton to Bill and Ann (Murry) Lambert. She graduated from Canton South High School in 1961 and received an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Malone University.  She worked at the Minerva Area Christian School and for the Aultman Hospital Daycare Center.  She is a longtime member of the Minerva First Christian Church where is a member of the 4-Square Sunday School Class, a former Deaconess, YBS Teacher, choir member and served on the MACS School Board.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Gary Schotts whom she married March 31, 1962, daughter, Diane Ruff of Minerva, 3 sons, Tom (Constance) Schotts of Minerva, Jim (Sherry) Schotts of Canton, John (Tammmy) Schotts of AZ, sister, Pat Howard of Stow, brother, Bill (Debbie) Lambert of Canton, 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a son-in-law, Greg Ruff.

A memorial service will be Friday at 12 noon in the Minerva First Christian Church with Zack Long officiating.  Calling hours will be one hour prior to services at the church from 11am to 12 noon.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Minerva First Christian Church General Fund or the Minerva Area Christian School.
