Carol Ann Cogan

Age 77, of Minerva, died Wednesday, January 3, 2018 in Mercy Medical Center. She was born June 1, 1940 in Homeworth to Howard and Ethel (Vandegrift) Felger. She retired as a Bus Driver after 37 years from Minerva Local Schools. She was the owner of Carol's Beauty Shop. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where she was a former custodian. She was the past president of the New Franklin Community Association, Former Stark County Precinct Chairman of the Board of Elections and former 4-H adviser. She was a home caterer, baker and graduated from Minerva in 1958.

She is preceded in death by a son, Terry Cogan.  She is survived by 2 sons, Michael "Mickey" (Darla) Cogan of Minerva, Tim (Angel) Cogan of Minerva; sister, Janet Cassidy of Minerva; 6 grandchildren, Lynette Burke, Jennifer Cogan, Gretchen Cogan, Sara Cogan, Calvin Cogan, Jacob Cogan and a great granddaughter, Rylee.

Funeral services will be Monday at 11 am in the St. John's Lutheran Church in New Franklin with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating. Burial will be in the Fairmount Memorial Park. Calling hours will be Sunday from 6-8 at the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. John's Lutheran Church.
