Carl L. Detchon Jr.

Age 73, of Alliance, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2025 in the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland.  He was born Aug. 4, 1951 in Alliance to the late Carl and Doris (Thompson) Detchon Sr.  He retired from Euclid Chemical where he was a truck driver for 38 years.  He is a member of the Buckeye Sheriff's Association and the Civil Defense Corp. He loved to drive truck and tell stories.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Shawn Detchon of Malvern, Tammi Detchon of Malvern 2 sons, Robert (Christine) Detchon of Amsterdam, Michael (Barbara) Detchon of Malvern, 2 sisters, Jennie (Paul) Politsch of GA, Rose Fearon of Massillon, 3 brothers, David (Wanda) Detchon of Minerva, Mark Detchon of Alliance, John Toole of Alliance, 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Carl Detchon III, a brother, Keith Detchon and a grandson.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 23rd at 7:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Mr. Kenny Thomas officiating.  Calling hours will be 2 hours prior to services from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.  Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
