Carilyn A. Michel

Age 85, of Minerva, passed away Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025, in Aultman Hospital. She was born Dec. 9, 1939, in Canton to Joseph and Hilda (Paumier) Bresson. She is a member of the St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva where she was a President and member of the Catholic Women's Club, served on the custodial staff and the funeral committee for many years.  She graduated from Louisville High School in 1958.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Michel who died in 2006; an infant son, Joseph Michel, 10 brothers and sisters, Peggy Galluci, Eileen Brown, Betty Samblanet, Mary Upperman, Rita Martin, Agnes Schillig, Donna Wackerly. Marilyn Radalia, Robert and James Bresson and 2 grandchildren, Nichole Monk and Todd Waugh. She is survived by 5 daughters, Anita (Scott) Monk of North Carolina, Sharon (Randy) Bing of North Canton, Marie (Troy) Waugh of Minerva, Carol (Brian) Johnson of North Canton, Brenda (Andy) Skinner of Indiana; 2 sons, Carl (Lisa) Michel of Robertsville, Brian (Kelli) Michel of Georgia; 1 sister, Elinor Samblanet of Louisville; 12 grandchildren and  10 great grandchildren.

A Mass of the Christian Burial will be Friday at 11:00 am in the St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva with Fr. Victor Cinson as celebrant.  Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery in Louisville. Calling hours will be Thursday 5-8pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Gabriel Catholic Church.
