Burdette "John" Klee
Age 89, of Minerva died Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013 in Minerva Eldercare. He was born Aug. 21, 1923 in Bellaire to Lewis and Maude (Tubaugh) Klee. He retired from Davis Engineering where he was a welder and supervisor. He had also worked at Babcock and Wilcox in Alliance. He is a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in New Franklin, graduated from Smithfield High School and is a US Army Air Corp. veteran of WWII where he was a B29 pilot.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Gloria (Jones) Klee whom he married Jan. 4, 1945, a daughter, Vicki (Terry) Hughes of Minerva, a son, Jeffrey (Drema) Klee, sister, Daisy Barbur of Cleveland, 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Hartzel and a brother, Gerald Klee.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am in St. John's Lutheran Church in New Franklin with Rev. Joseph Ertl officiating.
