Bruce E. Laferty

Age 85, of Canton, died Friday, June 25, 2021. He was born Aug. 15, 1935 in Cleveland to Edward and Helena Ruth (Graham) Laferty.  He was the Display Director for several area Department Stores for many years.  He is a member of the Martindale Christian Fellowship. He graduated from Minerva High School in 1953, and received a Bachelor's in Arts from Youngstown University.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Ann (Erb) Laferty whom he married June 14, 1957, 2 daughters, Mechele Laferty of Canton, Germaine (Frank) McNutt of East Canton, son, Shane Laferty of Canton, sister, Edie Tasker of Alliance, 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. He is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Joanne Coss, Bette Tasker and a brother, Ed Laferty.

Following a private family burial at Mt. Zion Cemetery near Augusta, a Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 3 ^rd at 11:00 am in the Martindale Christian Fellowship in Canton, 3545 Martindale Rd. NE, Canton.
