Bill C. Kinsey, age 87 of East Canton and formerly Minerva, died Tuesday Aug. 9, 2011. He was born June 1, 1924 in Augusta to Thomas and Emma (Hiner) Kinsey. He retired from ConRail where he was an engineer for 43 years. He had also worked for New York Central and Penn Central Railroad. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII, lifetime member of the Minerva American Legion Post #357 and the Minerva VFW Post #4120. He is a member of the Stillfork Presbyterian Church and a 1943 graduate of Augusta High School.
He is survived by his beloved wife and caretaker Rose (Zwick) Rinard-Kinsey whom he married in 2004, 5 daughters; Linda Riesen of Alliance, Barbara Edwards of Minerva, Patti Kinsey-Catlett of Minerva, Darlene (John) Lovaty of Canton and Diane Huff of Mineral City, 2 sons; Wallace (Deirdre) Kinsey of Minerva and Roger (Sandy) Rinard of Amherst, 2 sisters; Emma Rhodes of Cleveland and Evelyn Kinsey of Cleveland, numerous grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his first wife Faye (Brothers) Kinsey who died in 1986, a daughter, Cindy Rinard Karipides, 2 granddaughters, Sara Kubankin and Kendra Kay Rotondo, 4 sisters; Christina Ossler, Dorothy Locke, Mary Turnipseed and Pauline Brown, 3 brothers; Thomas, Lafayette and George Kinsey.
Funeral services will be Sat. at 11:00 am in the Stillfork Presbyterian Church in Augusta with Rev. Ryan Hale and Rev. Virginia Birks officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Augusta Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday 6-8 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva and one hour prior to services at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Aultman Hospice or the Stillfork Presbyterian Church.Visits: 0
