Obituary

F.W. "Bill" Granger, age 77, of Homeworth, died Sunday, December 9, 2012 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born Nov. 22, 1935 in Hookstown, PA to Ross and Opal (Kelly) Granger. He retired as a journeyman electrician and superintendant for Morgan Engineering in Alliance, OH, was a 1953 graduate of Minerva High School, and loved motorcycles, playing music and traveling.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Thomas) Granger whom he married Aug. 20, 1954; 3 daughters, Kay Monter of Robertsville, Kelly (Jim) Casler of Minerva, Michelle (Michael) Thrift-Granger of Lonoke, AR.; a son, Michael Granger of Minerva; 2 sisters, Hazel Walker of Minerva, Regina Mowder of Minerva; a brother, Lloyd Granger of Carrollton, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Dean Granger and a grandson.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating. Burial will be in Moultrie Chapel Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Those unable to attend may sign the online guest book at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com. Memorial donations may be made to Mercy Hospice.
