Beverly (Haynam) Walker

Age 90, of Minerva, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025 in the Arbors of Minerva. She was the youngest of three daughters born to Chester Dean Haynam and Erla (Hirst) Haynam in Minerva on December 6, 1935 and was a life long resident of the area. An honor graduate with the Class of 1953 of Minerva High School where she was a MHS Varsity Cheerleader for 3 years.

On mother's day, May 9, 1954, she married Richard Lee Walker, who passed in 2009 after 55 years of marriage. Her vocation was being a family homemaker and caregiver. She was a former employee of Howard Brown's Food Market, M.H.S. secretary, clerk at Cross Drug Store, Williamson's Minerva Dairy Queen, a hand meat-wrapper at Kishman's IGA in Minerva and a volunteer at the Minerva Senior Center for several years.

She is survived by a son, Terry Lee (Barbara) Walker of Lodi, WI, granddaughters, Erica Walker and Antoinette (Darin) Westphal of MN, great granddaughters, Corinne Maule, Leilani Bennett, Hope and Chloe Westphal, daughter, Bonny Lu (Bruce) McPherson of Louisville, grandson, Mark McPherson, great grandson, Nathan and twin great granddaughters, Avery and Alivia McPherson, brother-in-law, Bob Midcap of Minerva and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Elizabeth Ann (John H.) McLoney and Doris Mae (James W.) Ewing, grandson, Corey Lee Walker, sisters-in-law Dorothy (Leonard) Wilt, Phyllis (David) Hamilton, Norma (Walter) Gross, Marilyn Midcap, Bernice (Clyde) Tennant, brother-in-law, James Walker.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 12 noon in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Pastor Chris Sanford officiating.  Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.  Calling hours will be one hour prior to services from 11am to 12 noon at the funeral home.
