Beverly Paxton
Age 75, of Louisville, died Wed., May 4, 2022 in her home surrounded by her family. She was born Aug. 2, 1946 in Alliance to Robert and Charlotte (Blevins) Boord. She lived in East Rochester with her parents and 5 siblings. She was a graduate of Minerva High School with the class of 1964.
It was then, she married the love of her life, Roger Paxton and were married for 58 wonderful years. Beverly always took pride in her appearance by always looking her best! A lifelong Christian and member of Fairhope United Methodist Church, religion was an important part of her life.
The enjoyment of nature was key to Beverly. She enjoyed her flowers and worked hard to care and tend for the areas around the home. She enjoyed watching and listening to the birds attracted to the yard. Beverly enjoyed helping her mother with the family campground, Bob Boord's Park for 30 years. There were many family memories and stories made over the summers at the park. She also worked selling Home Interior and at McClain Grocery. When she became a realtor, she worked for Kolstrom, Century 21 and TK Harris Coldwell Bankers for many years.
Beverly enjoyed being part of a large family with five siblings, numerous nieces and nephews. Beverly and Roger and one son, Robert Paxton and two grandchildren. The love of family from daily phone calls, celebrating special events, and working together at the park are too numerous to mention-but she enjoyed them all.
Beverly is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Charlotte Boord, sister, Cindy (Raymond) Leatherberry. She is survived by one brother, Wayne (Lori) Boord, three sisters, Polly (Dave) Haught, Margie (Nick) Rolfe, and Jennifer (Jeff) Sanor. A proud mother of Robbie (Tina) Paxton and her grandchildren, Rebecca Paxton and Mitchell (Taylor) Paxton.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 12 noon in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Scott Hayward officiating. Burial will be in Moultrie Chapel Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 hours prior to services from 10 am to 12 noon at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fairhope United Methodist Church.
